Meeting was called to order at 12:15pm. In the absence of Fr. Don, John Vassallo led us in song and we all knew the words! Fred Cain led us in grace. After lunch our Sgt. At Arms, John Garrett, introduced our guests. John Vassallo had his son, Kenny. Ted Morang had a woman that worked with him. Then our President introduced our Asst. Governor, John Shack. John was here today to present Donna with her Presidential Citation from last year. John also noted that of all the clubs he is assigned as Asst. Governor that our club was the only club that was receiving the Presidential Citation.
Auction meeting tomorrow night at 5:15pm. No auction meeting next Thursday (10/30) but then will be every Thursday until the Auction.
November 11th, VIP night with the District. So if you have any new member prospects - let President Joe know so that they may get an invitation.
Fountain coming out of the pond at Rotary Park tomorrow.
President Joe announced a quick board meeting after todays meeting. Also just a note - be at the meeting on November 12th. Fred Cain is setting up a great meeting for that day to salute our Armed Forces for Veterans Day.
Our speakers today were from the Stoneham Theatre. They explained how they operate and some upcoming plays. They wanted to introduce us to their Theatre. They volunteered complimentary tickets to any member that would like to attend a play there. They are looking to expand their membership and contributors but know this will not be done until you visit the Theatre. Our own Mary Whitney is a season ticket holder and said it is close by and the plays are wonderful! So take them up on their offer.
Jim Ficcociello and Ted Morang spent a few minutes picking up some fines........
Ed Nash won the raffle but didn't draw the correct card. OOOOHHHHHH!
Donna won the second raffle which was two tickets to a play at Stoneham Theatre.
See you all next week! |
