President Joe called the meeting to order at 12:15pm.  Sgt. At Arms John Garrett introduced our visitors.  Visiting Rotarian Glenn Welch from Winchester and Ed Harrison from Wilmington High School.  President Joe had the Jr. Rotarians introduce themselves.

Emily Dorrance is the Vice President of the Senior Class and is involved in Peer Mediation, Bread & Roses, Interact, Soccer and Track.  She is applying to Providence College and a few others.

Scott Brady is the Class President and is involved in Peace Groups, DECA, String Orchestra where he plays the Cello.  He is a volunteer with the Salvation Army, a tutor after school, a member of HOBY.  Scott has applied to Holy Cross as his number one choice and applied to a few other colleges also.

President Joe then had a few announcements:

  • Auction meetings next two Thursdays.  Auction only two weeks away and we only have 77 items.  Really need to put push on to get more items.
  • Next Wednesday meeting is when we are honoring our servicemen.  We have 24 extra guests that will be attending.  We would like to have a good turnout for this meeting.
  • Nov. 11th is VIP night with the District.  This is for new prospective members. It was a good take in last time and recommend to anyone who has an idea for a new member. It will be at 6:30pm at Angelica's on Rte. 62.
  • Nov. 17th will be a Fireside Chat at Donna's house at 6:00pm.  Everyone is invited.
  • President Joe will be mailing out a Membership Questionaire to all members so he can get an idea of the members opinions of the strengths and weaknesses of the club.  Please fill out and return.  These are confidential - so be honest.

Donna updated everyone on the District Conference in Montreal.  A good time was had by all.

John Garrett was finemaster.  Ruth paid a happy dollar for her husband, Dan, finishing the NYC marathon last Sunday in 4 hours - 6 minutes.  And he was ahead of P. Diddy.  President Joe paid a happy dollar because his daughter is getting married this weekend.

John Doherty tried to win the $222 in the pot by picking the ten of diamonds.  John was close with the Jack of Diamonds.  Better luck next time John!

See you all next week!
