50-50 Pot:   Ray Fitch tried his luck at the 50/50 raffle and pulled the 5 of clubs... No Winner!

Events to be aware of -- Save the Dates!! 

** District Conference May 1st and 2nd will be held in Salem - more info to come!

 

  

 

** The InterAct Club is supporting the "Local Heroes" cause.  Donations are being gathered to send to our troops overseas.  For a list of items needed you can visit www.mass-localheroes.org or call 978-658-3000 for more details.

 

 

  

 ** We will be having a joint meeting with the Middleton club @ Angelica's in Middleton on 5/13.  The incoming GSE team will be there and it is our chance to speak with them.

 

 

 

**  June 21-24 will be the Rotary 100th Convention..

 

 

 

 

 ** The date for Trivia night is June 12th.  Keep selling the VACATION RAFFLE TICKETS!!!  Angela Keane is spearheading this initiative, see her if you need more tickets.  This gives us more time to focus on selling tickets and garnering O.P.M. (Other Peoples Money).

 

 

 

 ** There will be a Blood Drive at the Masonic Hall on March 26th from 2-7pm.

 

 

  

 **The District Assembly will be held on 4/22/09 at the Ferncroft Hotel in Danvers.

 

 

  

 ** The District Installation Dinner will be held on June 30th at the Danversport Yacht Club.

 

 

  

 **  There will be a dinner at La Stanza Diva on June 24th to celebrate the Installation of Dr. Jim as incoming El Presidente!  Time is TBD.

 

 

Other Items of Note:

 ** If you would like a copy of the powerpoint presentation from Neil Ellis of the Wilmington Schools about how they are using our funds for technology please email Jim Cobb - j.cobb@easternbk.com

 

 

 

 

** There are still slots available for advanced driver training - See Bill Liston for details.

 

 

 

 

 ** We had French Silk Pie for desert at Rotary this week and President Liston said there were ONLY 5 pieces and he may have eaten 4 of them.

 

 

 And now a few announcements

The Board of Directors Met, here are a few of the highlights:

 - Approval of a $250 donation to the Mission of Deeds.  In conjunction with that we will soon be holding a linen drive to help the organization.  Donna Wayman will be leading this initiative.  More details to come.

 - Matching funds were approved the Annual Foundation Giving.

 - We have funded additional picnic tables at Rotary Park.

 - The Board has recommended to the Scholarship Committee to allocate a scholarship in the name of Ray McNamara.
